Filey's annual fishing festival

Filey Brigg Angling Society was founded in the year 1922 and is believed to be one of the oldest clubs in the country.
The Filey Brigg Angling Society still holds Filey's annual fishing festival during the first week of September, presenting around 70 silver trophys, of which some are as old as the festival itself.
As well as the festival the society also hosts several one day open competions and hold it’s own winter and summer leagues.
The society is always looking for new members and is always on the lookout for active committee members.
